Active projects (ongoing fieldwork and/or publications)

Flooding effects on coastal high-latitude ecosystems
Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Alaska | 2022 – 2025 | Fieldwork completed; ongoing publications
This project investigates the effects of increased high-tide flooding, alone and in combination with warming and herbivory, on plant communities and ecosystem processes in lowland wetlands and upland tundra of coastal high-latitude ecosystems.

Multiple climate change effects on Arctic tundra ecosystems
Svalbard, Norway | 2015 – ongoing | Ongoing fieldwork and publications
This project combines several experiments investigating the effects of multiple climate-change drivers, including winter icing, summer warming, and herbivory, on plant communities and ecosystem processes across different habitats in Arctic tundra.

Scaling up: Global ecological syntheses
Tundra biome and global | 2024 – ongoing | Ongoing fieldwork and publications
This line of work contributes to international synthesis initiatives integrating experimental and observational datasets to identify large-scale patterns in micro-environment, functional traits, biodiversity, and ecosystem functioning under climate change.
